For those of you that ate too much thanksgiving dinner and broke off your diet, don’t panic, there is still time for you to get your diet back on track, and get you ready for the holiday season. The first thing you have to realize and ask yourself is, why did you over eat during thanksgiving? Was the food so good you could not resist? Or where you pressured by other people to eat more than what you wanted to? Unfortunately it only comes down to these two questions if you over ate during thanksgiving. Lets get started by analyzing the first question, you ate too much because it was that good, if you are on a diet, we don’t care how good the food is, you have to have portion control, and only you control that, you have to be mentally prepared before any of these amazing holiday dinners, and let yourself know that no matter how good it is, you have to control your portions, and only eat what is allowed within your diet guidelines. Lets say you did control your portions, but others in the table talked you into eating more than you should, maybe it was grandma who told you she has be cooking for 3 days straight and made you feel bad. If you are on a diet and you want to be successful at it, you cannot let outside influence control you, and that goes for anything else in life, not just food, do what you want to do, and what is best for you. Next time grandma makes you feel bad because you are not eating more, just tell her how great everything was, but you cannot fit another bite into your body. Be strong, and you will make it through this holiday season.

With Halloween now behind us, we can now start feeling the holiday season starting to kick in. Many of us that are on diets are dreading the holiday season, and there are good reasons for that. During the holiday season, you have many heavy meals with friends and family, cookies, pastries, and so on, and when you are on a diet, it makes it very difficult for most of us, and we feel pressured to eat more, exercise less, and fit in with the crowd. These are the times where you really have to be focused on your weight loss goal, you cannot be on a diet and quit during the holiday season just to please other people, would they do the same for you? Most likely not. These are the times where you have to fully focus on your weight loss plan, and be the strongest person you can be. Believe it or not, being on a diet during the holiday season is not that tough, if you have the right mentality. Every morning before you head out to the next party or family meal, you have to think about your goals, and remember how hard you have worked to get where you are today. Don’t let one night ruin all your hard work. Now remember, just because you are on a diet, does not mean you cannot eat during the holiday season! You can eat what everyone else is eating or what is being served, you just have to make smart choices. Lets say it’s thanksgiving, only eat 2-3 slices of white meat, a small portion of mashed potatoes, a big helping of vegetables, and a bit of gravy. No biscuits, no butter, and no dark meat, and make sure to eat slow, the slower you eat, the better you digest your food, and the better the chances you wont go for seconds. So be happy and enjoy the party with everyone else, but eat smart and eat slowly.

Summer time means warm weather, and most of us like to drink something refreshing through out the day to stay hydrated. Water is the best choice, but many people get bored of drinking cold water all day, they want something with flavor. Here is where the problem begins for those of you that are trying to lose weight. Most people on a diet tend to go towards refreshments that have “diet” or “zero” on them. Drinks such as diet colas may claim that they have zero calories, but the fact is that diet drinks actually make you fat! Yes they have no calories, but they are full of chemicals that in return your body cannot process correctly, since they are un-natural. Many of you have gone to restaurants, and you order nachos, fries and the burger, but to make you feel like you are watching your weight, you go ahead and order a diet coke. Diet drinks are false advertisement and should be avoided by everyone, especially those of you that are trying to lose weight. As states before the best drink to chug all day is cold water, in the evening you can even drink a light beer, as it is made with all natural ingredients, which is what your body needs in order for you metabolism to work better. If you want flavor in your water, cut some lemons and oranges, and put them into your water with ice and it makes for a healthy refreshment. Stay hydrated this summer, and keep way from un-naturals drinks. In order to lose weight remember that everything you put into your body must be natural, no hidden ingredients.

Why is losing weight so hard? What does it take to finally break the cycle? Is there any shortcuts? These are all questions that run through everyone’s mind before, during, and after their diet attempts. Losing weight is probably one the hardest things to accomplish in life, without a doubt. So, is there a shortcut to lose weight? The straight answer is no, however there are some secrets that can help. In the main battle between eating healthy and exercising, which are the two main factors to losing weight, eating healthy in the long run will help you lose weight faster. There are many people on diets, and they exercise everyday 1-2 hours at the gym, yet they don’t lose weight, or they lose weight very slowly which can be frustrating, the problem with these people is there food intake. Yes they exercise a lot, but they still eat poorly. If you hate to exercise and you just don’t want to commit, eating healthy can help you lose weight, alone. So eating healthy is stronger than exercising. Keeping your calorie intake down, and the calories that you do consume have to be from healthy foods, such as salads with olive oil, whole wheat breads, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grilled fish. So is there a shortcut to losing weight? No but if you change your eating habits, your chances of losing weight increase by a higher percentage than exercise alone. If you have cravings for sweets such as candy and chocolate, eat fruit instead, and if you have cravings for junk like chips, munch on raw red bell peppers. If you commit to this simple rule, not only will you lose weight, but you will feel better than ever, however, we do recommend that you at least walk 30 minutes a day, it will only help you.

Now that April is here, we can celebrate Spring. The weather has finally started to warm up a bit, going out for the day feels great, and people are happier since the sun is out. How about you, are you happy with your weight? If not, we can help you out, for free of course, all you have to do is commit, sacrifice, and reap the benefits. Losing weight may seem like an uphill battle, and it is, however, if you have the proper assistance, the hill just doesn’t seem as steep. Everyone is always talking about how addicting cigarettes are, how people that drink too much are alcoholics, has anyone ever thought that over-eating is also a disease? Because it is. Food is a drug, and if you don’t consume it in moderation, you are an addict. The good news is that there is a cure, and it’s you. You don’t need to take a pill or go to rehab, all you have to do is start a new life….right now. Read our 7-step diet plan, and start the next chapter in your life. We are sure you will follow thru, otherwise you would not be here right now. For the last note, when we think of losing weight, all we think about is the pain…we never think about the pleasure it will give us when we are finished. In all thing life, always think about the positive, not the negative, whatever you think and however you feel, will be the outcome of your life. Keep these three thoughts in you head at all times: COMMIT - STAY POSSITIVE - ENJOY LIFE.

The month of March means that Spring is on its way. For the many of us that have not been able to exercise out of the home because of the weather, we are really looking forward to Spring. When you are on a diet, it is so much more than just eating less and watching what you eat, committing to some type of exercise everyday is a must. You have to try and break a sweat everyday, whether you are on a diet or not, for you well-being. As the snow starts melting and the sidewalks become visible again, consider going on a walk every morning and evening for 30 minutes each. If you work, then wake up 30 minutes earlier, no excuses. I have seen people walking at 5 AM because they have to head out to work, and commit to their morning walk everyda. These are the people that have committed to their health and to keep the weight off. I am not asking you to wake up at 5 AM and go walking (especially in the winter!) but try your best to put some effort into your weight loss. If waking up early is not your gig, then go during your lunch break, eat a quick lunch and walk the rest of the time, you cannot have an excuse for that one. And for the evening, try going on a walk after dinner, it gets to late, go right after you get back from work, not only will it get you in-shape, but it will clear your mind from your work day, so you are more relaxed. To sum it up, if you commit, you will get where you want to go.

As the month of February begins, many of us that had the “I want to lose weight“ new years resolution have probably failed. If you haven’t failed and are still going strong, be proud of yourself and continue what you are doing. If you did fail, that is OK. It‘s never to late to start again, and you shouldn’t wait until next January to start again! In all things life, we have to fail in order to succeed. Don’t feel like a failure, use that as your stepping stone to your next try. The main reason so many people fail on their “I want to lose weight“ new years resolution, is because they are not committed to it, they are just doing it because the feel they have to have a resolution. In order for you to lose weight, you have to want it, and commit to it. Start by understanding that losing weight will not only make you look better, but it will make you feel better. If you try again and you fail again, it’s ok, try again, and again until your mind finally gets it. Losing weight is probably one of the hardest things to accomplish in life, food is a like a drug, it’s addicting and it gives us comfort when we feel uncomfortable. However, you should know that you are not weak, our mind and body where created to be strong. Start February of with a bang and start your diet with 100% commitment, if you fall, start again. Be strong. Be unique. Be Fearless.

Many people today have new years resolutions, and most are "I want to lose weight this year". However about 95% of those resolutions fail. If this year you have decided you want to take charge of your weight, you can do it, and we can help. The first step any person going on diet has to remember is, don't put so much pressure on your diet and make it "to hard to achieve", because if you do, odds are you will fail. Just because you start a diet to lose weight, does not mean all the fun in the world is over, and you have to be stuck at home eating green beans while everyone else is having pizza and beer. You too can go have pizza and beer while you are on a diet. The secret is portion control, instead of having 3 slices of pepperoni and 2 beers, have 1 slice of vegetarian pizza and 1 beer. Cutting calories in this manner and exercising daily will lead you to lose weight, and still have fun in your life. So, if your new years resolution for 2011 was to lose weight, you can do it, just be smart about your choices, and have fun.
